Where is my crypto stored?
Your Bitcoin and Ethereum are stored in a secure, MPC-based wallet by Utila. Key shares are distributed across multiple systems, eliminating single-point failure.
Your funds are cryptographically protected and cannot be accessed or moved by any one party.
What is Multi-Party Computation (MPC)?
MPC allows multiple parties to jointly sign transactions without ever creating a full private key. Each party holds a piece of the key (a "share") which never leaves its secure environment.
Your private key doesn't exist as a single piece — so it can't be hacked, lost, or leaked.
Do you ever lend or invest my crypto?
No. Your assets are never touched, lent, staked, or moved. They remain in segregated cold custody for the life of the loan.
Your crypto is held securely and not exposed to any external financial risk.
What does ‘no rehypothecation’ mean?
We do not use your crypto to back other loans or investments. Your assets remain 1:1 reserved.
Your collateral stays fully intact and unleveraged — zero risk of third-party claims.
Can I track my assets in real time?
Yes. You have full visibility over your secured wallet. You can verify balances and wallet status at any time.
You know exactly where your assets are and can confirm they're untouched.
Is there a private key to my wallet?
No. MPC eliminates the need for a private key. Signing is done using distributed shares without reconstruction.
There's no single point for hackers to attack — because the key doesn’t exist in one place.
Who controls the custody infrastructure?
Custody is handled by Utila using secure Multi-Party Computation (MPC) technology. Vield can initiate transactions, but they can only be executed with approvals from multiple independent authorisers, ensuring no single party has unilateral control.
You remain the ultimate beneficial owner of the asset, and we will not move it without your explicit consent, except in the event of a loan default. This structure ensures your crypto is protected by design and secure from unauthorised access.
Customer crypto is kept separate from other customers’ crypto as well as from Vield’s operational funds. Assets are never pooled.
Your crypto remains entirely yours — clearly separated and protected. This ensures full transparency and accountability at all times.
Can anyone at Vield or Utila access my funds?
No. Transactions require multi-party authorisation and cannot be completed by any single team or person.
Your assets are protected by mathematical guarantees and strict authorisation controls.
